Summary: Kirk has a thing for Spock’s eyebrow.
A/N: In response to this prompt over at st_xi_kink. I haven’t really posted anything in ages, so here’s a bit of something.
He doesn't know he's going to do it until he does it, but it's not as if he doesn't know why he does it.
He can't stop staring at it. It's always there, always moving, up and down, and every time it does it says something different. There are entire sentences expressed in a single twitch, and to borrow one of Spock's favourite words, it is nothing less than fascinating. Jim's eyebrows certainly don't move that way. Not that they don't move at all - because they do - it's just that his tend to move in concert, telling both sides of the story and throwing all the information out there, making it just about as obvious as it possibly could be.
Spock's eyebrow, on the other hand, particularly that one really mobile one, tells only half the story. There is so much left unsaid by the other eyebrow that what the expressive one reveals assumes even greater importance, and the trick - the really fun, challenging trick - is to decode all that twitching and rising and falling and find the emotion behind it.
And, damn, but Jim loves that eyebrow and everything that it says. It's from that eyebrow that he learned Spock found him attractive, and later, that Spock was in love with him. It's from that eyebrow that Jim discovered exactly what will make Spock cry out, and what will make him whimper.
Jim owes a lot to that eyebrow. He's rather inordinately fond of it, in point of fact. So perhaps it isn't really that much of a surprise that he finds himself with the irresistible urge to show his affection for it.
When he finds himself raising his head from Spock's chest, he thinks he's just going to kiss it. A quick, fond kiss to a much-loved part of the man who has come to mean so much to him. He can't say he ever expected to find himself licking someone's eyebrow. The only thing that makes him okay with it all is that it's Spock's eyebrow, and, well, it goes up after Jim licks it, in that way that means Spock is surprised and amused and feeling great affection for his illogical human lover.
As he settles back against Spock in the bed, Jim knows he's grinning sheepishly, but he has no regrets. He loves that eyebrow almost as much as he loves the man who says so much with it.
